The Author
James Fritz is a writer and musician from St. Louis, Missouri. He attended Chaminade College Prep, where he played tuba and trombone throughout middle and high school—an experience that would later inspire the musical backdrop of his debut novel, Nightmare in 7/4.

After earning degrees in Business and Music from Loyola University Chicago, James spent several years working as a data analyst before trading spreadsheets for stories. Outside of writing, he enjoys playing piano, practicing jiu jitsu, and spending time with his partner. He’s also the proud, self-appointed president of the Evgeny Kissin fan club—a position that remains uncontested.

His first novel, Nightmare in 7/4, will be released by Flock Publishing in February 2026.
